60 second easy hypnosis

Hypnosis, especially self hypnosis, can change your life, beliefs and feelings. Here is a simple easy method to rapidly induce a relaxed self hypnotic state.

There are so many ways in which to induce a peaceful, calm, relaxed state of mind, in which the body is still, and the conscious mind is gently set aside for a while. Self Hypnosis is in my opinion the quickest and deepest way, as the subconscious mind is given more space to engage, and activates the therapeutic cognitive processes which are natural in us all.

This state of mind, known as hypnotic state is very easily created by;

- Focusing your attention.

- Relaxing the body.

- Allowing general thoughts to enter, then exit, kind of like mindfulness.

This processed can be easily followed with the instructions below. It is called the Eye Roll Technique, and is a very old but powerful way of entering a safe therapeutic hypnotic trance. When you are in this relaxed state of mind, it is possible to offer yourself any positive suggestions or affirmations to help bring about the changes which you desire. You will be more suggestible to accept them as truth, more so than in your day-to-day thinking. I’ve included some below that you may like to try.

THE TECHNIQUE

ENTERING THE TRANCE STATE

  • Find a quiet place and either sit down or lie down comfortably. Make sure you don’t try this when operating machinery or driving.

  • Roll up your eyes, just as if you are trying to look at your eyebrows.

  • Allow your eyelids to slowly close, and as you do so, take in a deep breath and hold it.

  • As you slowly breath out, let your upturned eyes to return to their normal position.

  • As you finish breathing out, enjoy that gentle, floating sensation that you will experience.

  • Now imagine that your dominant hand is very light, like it has a big helium balloon tied to it making it lift up gently. You may be surprised at the ease by which your hand and arm seem to float up by themselves.

    This floating hand signal is a signal from your subconscious mind that you are entering a state of deep relaxation.

  • As you stay in this deeply relaxed, hypnotic state of mind, give yourself positive, therapeutic suggestions which you feel will help to bring about the changes you really want or need.

  • Remain in this state for 10-20 minutes, which is plenty long enough to make an impact

    You can repeat the process as many times a day as you like, whenever you want or need!

EXITING THE TRANCE STATE

  • Roll up your eyes behind your closed eyelids.

  • Count yourself up ‘3, 2, 1, Awake’

  • Slowly, and gently allow your eyelids to open, and the eyes to focus.

Make a tight fist with your dominant hand, and as you do, allow this light floating hand to drift down into a comfortable position. As it comes down to rest, relax the tight fist and gently stretch those fingers, letting them feel relaxed and normal.

Well done! You just hypnotised yourself!

It may may take a bit of time to get used to, especially if you usually struggle to relax or slow down. But anyone can do this, and it will really help you to create change in your life more rapidly.

And the more you practice the more powerful and deep you will go!
